Marriage Celebrant T&Cs

A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $500 and the couple receives a confirmation email from NK Celebrations. Dates will not be held without a deposit.

The remaining balance must be paid in full 2 months prior to the ceremony. The celebrant reserves the right to withhold services if payment has not been received.

Couples are required to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month prior to the wedding date, in accordance with Australian law. The celebrant will not conduct the ceremony within the one month timeframe unless the couple has received a successful shortening of time approval.

The couple must provide valid identification and all required legal documents prior to the ceremony. Failure to do so may result in the ceremony being unable to proceed legally.

The celebrant will work with the couple to create a personalised ceremony. Final approval of the ceremony script must be confirmed in writing no later than 2 weeks before the wedding. Any changes to the script in the time leading up to the ceremony must be confirmed by both parties in writing via email.

Any changes to ceremony location, time, or content must be communicated as soon as possible and in writing. Significant changes may incur additional fees.

If a rehearsal is included or requested, it will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time. Additional rehearsals may incur extra charges.

Travel fees may apply depending on the ceremony location. Parking must be provided or reimbursed where applicable.

The celebrant will arrive prior to the scheduled start time. If the ceremony is delayed by more than 60 minutes a fee of $50 per additional hour will apply.

Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations within 60 days of the ceremony may incur full payment.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.

In the unlikely event the celebrant is unable to officiate due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to arrange a replacement celebrant and all relevant information and forms will be produced to the replacement. An adjustment of fees will be determined according to the percentage of works completed. If a replacement is not possible, a refund will be provided.

The celebrant will lodge all legal documents with the relevant authority after the ceremony within the required timeframe.

The celebrant may use images or videos of the ceremony for marketing purposes unless the couple requests otherwise in writing prior to the event.

The couple is responsible for ensuring a safe and respectful environment for the ceremony. The celebrant reserves the right to pause or refuse to continue if safety is compromised.

If the celebrant provides a PA system, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure suitable conditions (e.g. power, weather protection). Damage caused by guests may be charged to the client.

By paying the deposit, the couple agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
Make-Up T&Cs

Weddings - A booking is secured only once a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee has been received. Dates are not held without a deposit. The remaining balance is due one month prior to the event.
Event Makeup - A booking is secured only once a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee has been received. Dates are not held without a deposit. The remaining balance is due on the date of the event before makeup services begins.

Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances.
Cancellations made within 1 month of the booking may incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the booking total.
Rescheduling is subject to availability. If the new date is unavailable, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.

Trials are recommended but not mandatory.
Trial fees are separate from the event booking and must be paid on the day (or in advance if required).
One look is included unless otherwise agreed. Additional looks may incur extra charges.
Trial appointments are held on weekdays from 3:00pm onwards at the NK Celebrations studio located in Chisholm, NSW, 2322. By booking a trial, the client acknowledges and agrees to this availability.
Weekend appointments are reserved exclusively for weddings and event bookings and are therefore not available for trials. Requests for alternative times and locations may be considered at the artist’s discretion but are not guaranteed.

Clients must inform the artist of any:
Skin conditions
Allergies or sensitivities
Medical conditions that may affect makeup application
The artist is not liable for reactions arising from undisclosed conditions.

All tools and products are kept to professional hygiene standards. Disposable applicators are used where necessary. The artist reserves the right to refuse service if hygiene or safety is compromised.

Travel fees may apply depending on location.
Travel within 45 minutes of the artist’s location in Chisholm, NSW, 2322 is included. For locations further away, a fee of $50 per additional hour of travel applies to cover time on the road and early starts where required.
Parking must be provided or reimbursed where applicable.
For early start times (before 5:30am), an additional fee may apply.

A schedule will be agreed upon prior to the event.
All clients must be on site and ready for their makeup service.
Delays caused by clients may result in reduced service time or additional fees.

Any changes to the number of services or people must be finalised one month prior to the event. Reductions in numbers may still be charged at the original quoted amount.
Requests for additional makeup services on the day of the event are subject to the artist’s availability and sole discretion. The artist is not obligated to accommodate last-minute bookings.
If accepted, the client agrees to pay the full service fee for the additional booking plus a $50 short-notice service fee, payable on the day.

The artist may take photos/videos of completed work for portfolio, website, and social media use unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the event.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash, Square payments.
Services may not be provided if full payment has not been received. -
While every effort is made to ensure satisfaction, the artist is not liable for makeup longevity affected by weather or client activities.

In the unlikely event the artist is unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control, all reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a replacement artist or refund monies paid.

Children must be supervised at all times while the artist is working, particularly around the makeup kit and equipment.
The client is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment. Any damage to the artist’s products, tools, or equipment caused by children (or unsupervised guests) will be charged to the client in full for repair or replacement costs.

By paying a deposit, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
The NK Celebrations Signature Package T&Cs

Where the client engages the artist for a combination of Marriage Celebrant, MC, and Makeup Artist services, this is considered a bundled service package. These bookings require additional planning, extended hours, and limited availability, and therefore are subject to the following specific terms.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure the full-service package. Due to the exclusive nature of the booking, the final balance will be due 60 days prior to the event date.
Bundled service pricing reflects a packaged rate and cannot be separated into individual service costs after booking.

By booking multiple services, the client acknowledges that the artist is exclusively reserved for a significant portion (or entirety) of the day. As such, the artist will not accept other bookings on that date.

Requests to remove or reduce one or more services within the package (e.g. cancelling MC services but retaining celebrant services) are not permitted once the booking is confirmed, as the date has been reserved in full.
Any approved changes are at the artist’s discretion and may not result in a reduced fee.

A detailed run sheet will be created to accommodate all services (makeup, ceremony, and MC duties). The client agrees to adhere to agreed timings. Delays may impact the delivery of one or more services and may incur additional fees.

A total of 3 makeup services on the day are included as part of the package. Any additional makeup services can be arranged prior to booking. This is to be pre-arranged by the couple with NK Celebrations and is to the artist’s discretion.
Makeup services must be completed within the allocated timeframe to ensure the celebrant and/or MC services are not impacted. The artist is not responsible for delays caused by late arrivals or changes on the day.

MC services are limited to what has been agreed (e.g. reception announcements, timeline coordination, introductions). Additional duties requested on the day may not be accommodated and could incur extra charges.

Due to the extended nature of providing multiple services, the artist reserves the right to take reasonable breaks throughout the day. For bookings exceeding 5 hours, the client agrees to provide a meal and refreshments.

Cancellations of bundled services will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may incur additional fees due to the loss of multiple income streams from a single date.
Rescheduling is subject to availability across all services.

While every effort is made to deliver all services to a high standard, the client acknowledges that performing multiple roles may require structured timing, clear boundaries, and cooperation to ensure smooth delivery.

By booking a combined services package, the client agrees to both the individual service Terms & Conditions and these additional bundled service terms, which take precedence where applicable.
